Cooking Class with Chef Chris Hall--10 AM, Thursday

A self-taught cook, Chris Hall has worked in kitchens from Philadelphia’s Le Bec Fin to Atlanta’s Canoe and 4th & Swift. His culinary style is completely unrestricted and self- characterized as simple, but also respectful of tradition and method. As chef of Local Three, (a local chef’s hang-out for superb charcuterie and casual atmosphere), the results of that style illustrate imaginative combinations of ingredients, technique, and exceptional flavors. Chef Hall will be joined by Heidi Billoto, Charlotte cooking instructor extraordinaire. Together they will amaze you with a fabulous cooking experience in the SubZero/Wolf demonstration kitchen at the Design Center of the Carolinas.

Dream Team Tasting--3:30 PM, Friday

This "Dream Team" tasting will be moderated by renowned wine personality, Doug Frost, one of only four Master Sommelier and Masters of Wine in the world. Joining Frost will be a panel of some of the highest profile winemakers in the world offering an example of their Cabernet Sauvignon, West coast wines, that expresses what they do best in their vineyards. Italian Tasting--10 AM, Saturday

Presented by Vino Vino wine merchants and moderated by owners Ashli Cohen and Marco Laico.  The tasting will include the rising super star of Italian winemaking, Michele Satta, who will walk you through his wines of Bolgheri, Italy in the heart of Tuscany.  He is a man of incredible talent and great passions for his land and his grapes.  Living near the picturesque area of Bolgheri, Michele’s focus is to obtain maximum expression wines from the vine.
